Undines—from the Latin root unda, which means “wave”— are water elementals, or spirits of the water world. Like their fellow elementals—salamanders (fire), sylphs (air), and gnomes (earth)—undines are united with, and personify, their element. First mentioned in the alchemical works of medieval botanist Paracelsus, undines appear throughout European folklore. Who are these mysterious creatures of lakes, oceans, and waterfalls? Undines takes readers directly into the water spirits’ realm through stories, personal encounters, and interviews with such luminaries as Istiphul, the undine queen whose presence embodies the magical essence of the feminine. Whether seen as fact or fairy tale, Undines presents archetypal truths and insights into human nature. The powers and abilities that undines display are latent in us all and crucial to humanity’s evolution (or mere survival): harmony with nature, empathy and compassion, a deep capacity to love, and a cooperative rather than combative relationship to the world. Undines will appeal broadly to readers of mythology, fantasy, and fairy tales, particularly to practitioners that work with nature spirits and elemental beings—Druids, Wiccans, pagans, and those interested in magic and mysticism. Based on knowledge attained through his highly-trained clairvoyance, Rudolf Steiner contends that folk traditions regarding nature spirits are based on spiritual reality. He describes how people possessed a natural spiritual vision in ancient times, enabling them to commune with nature spirits. These entities - which are also referred to as elemental beings - became immortalised as fairies and gnomes in myth, legend and children's stories. Today, says Steiner, the instinctive understanding that humanity once had for these elemental beings should be transformed into clear scientific knowledge. He even asserts that humanity will not be able to reconnect with the spiritual world if it cannot develop a new relationship to the elementals. The nature spirits themselves want to be of great assistance to us, acting as 'emissaries of higher divine spiritual beings'.

This volume contains mystical writings of Max Heindel on the little understood subject of Nature Spirits and Nature Forces. It is a correlation from his many books, lovingly collected in one volume by one of Max Heindel's students. Max Heindel is known as the most advanced of Western Mystics and has in his numerous books given to the world a mine of information about Nature Spirits, the little people with whom he had such interesting experiences. The writer has listened to many stories (which unfortunately have not been put in writing) of his experiences with these Spirits, of how they live and their appearance. He had many times remarked that he would sometime write an entire book on the Nature Spirits, but his very arduous work of pioneering interfered with this much needed work.

'The most important task of the bees, apart from the preparation of honey, wax and propolis, is the healing of the atmosphere! The honey bee, apis mellifera, alone, is able to perform this task. This is its first and foremost purpose.’ – Ralf Roessner Describing the Genius of Bees as the ‘group consciousness’ of the hive, Ralf Roessner presents an extraordinary commentary based on first-hand spiritual-scientific research and experience. He studies the mission of the Genius of Bees, the hexagonal structure of ‘the crystalline heaven’ within which the bees operate, and the healing of the world through their work. Roessner elucidates the relationships between the Genius of Bees, the elemental world and the human being. He also speaks of his personal experiences with the organic ‘earth hive’, giving instructions on how they are made, and offers practical advice on tackling the varroa mite. In this unique and original work, the author, ‘… attempts to describe the secrets of creation as far as he has experienced these himself’. As he goes on to clarify: ‘Many matters, which could only be vaguely perceived in former times, can now be investigated in a spiritual-scientific manner. A secret is only a secret to the extent it escapes the individual human being’s powers of consciousness’. Anyone seeking deeper insights into the world of the honey bee will be enriched by the content of this book.

Elemental beings such as gnomes and fairies exist in many folk and spiritual traditions, and Rudolf Steiner also discussed their significance to our world. Some people are able to engage and even communicate with elementals. Ursula Burkhard was one such person. Blind from birth, she experienced gnomes and other elementals from early childhood. When, as she grew older, her parents tried to dissuade her, she was puzzled: why should she believe in the 'real' things she was unable to see, and ignore what she knew to be true? In this readable little book, she describes her remarkable experiences and in particular her relationship with a special gnome, Karlik. The book was a bestseller in Germany in the 1980s, bringing the world of the elementals into the mainstream.

Is the world around us alive or is it dead? If the widely held belief were true--that matter is the basis of all we know as reality--then life would make no sense. The world would essentially be dead--an absurd notion! What we know as life would be an unexplainable phenomenon, an astounding but accidental miracle. Does this sound familiar? In the undeniable presence of life, this belief can never truly make sense. It demands faith. Thus materialism is superstition. If we dare to entertain the notion--albeit akin to a modern heresy--that life (being), not matter, is the foundation of what we know as reality, then both matter and life make perfect sense. Karsten Massei--who is exceptionally sensitive to the invisible beings of life that surround us always and everywhere--offers a gentle but powerful call, from those beings themselves, to discard superstition and begin to awake to the reality of life. As beings of the living Earth, we have certain responsibilities, too long neglected. The Earth is not an abstraction--a dead "rock" hurtling through space--but a living being. The elemental beings, who are intimately, intrinsically connected to the living Earth and to the living human race, suffer from our indifference, egoism, and ignorance of life, but they have much to teach us and patiently await our attention. "Know your environment!" It can begin with this book.

Myths, religions and archeological discoveries around the world discuss the presence of intelligent non-human beings who have interbred with humans creating hybrids. Tanis Helliwell offers convincing evidence about the existence of 22 different human-hybrids (elementals, angels, dolphins, giants, dragons, centaurs, pan and many others). People who discover they are hybrids report feeling more authentically themselves-more energized, powerful and self-loving-as a result of their discovery. AM I A HYBRID? If you answer "yes" to these statements, Hybrids will be of special interest to you: I often feel I don't fit in I am hypersensitive to violence I am deeply committed to helping the Earth I would describe myself as an independent thinker I follow my own inner guidance about rightness, even if it goes against the norm As with her ground-breaking work on elementals in the classic "Summer with the Leprechauns," Tanis is, with Hybrids, once again at the forefront of an entire new genre of investigation."

In this unique book, he brings the same approach to the study of the human body, exploring how we can consciously enter our own body space to experience it from the inside, and how to prepare to meet the coming challenges -- the equivalent of climate change. This book is both theoretical and practical, and includes exercises called Gaia Touch exercises, inspired by the elementals, which will stimulate personal development and help us become conscious co-creators with Gaia of the new emerging reality.

Because people have forgotten how to listen and converse with the goddess, this book purports that she uses natural catastrophes as her "hands," to get humankind's attention. By using the exercises for personal growth, readers can learn to use their emotions, intuition, and feelings rather than intellect and these traumas will be avoided and replaced with joy and companionship.

For once, a book which really lives up to its title. Hall self-published this massive tome in 1928, consisting of about 200 legal-sized pages in 8 point type; it is literally his magnum opus. Each of the nearly 50 chapters is so dense with information that it is the equivalent of an entire short book. If you read this book in its entirety you will be in a good position to dive into subjects such as the Qabbala, Alchemy, Tarot, Ceremonial Magic, Neo-Platonic Philosophy, Mystery Religions, and the theory of Rosicrucianism and Freemasonry. Although there are some questionable and controversial parts of the book, such as the outdated material on Islam, the portion on the Bacon-Shakespeare hypothesis, and Hall's conspiracy theory of history as driven by an elite cabal of roving immortals, they are far out-weighed by the comprehensive information here on other subjects.
