This is Nathaniel's and Persephone's first official assignment from Bob, the Lord of Creation for this universe. They can't afford to screw it up. The job sounds simple enough. Travel to the Rekar'ree star system, find the source of evil and stop it from spreading to the other neighboring star systems. The only problem is that Rekar'ree is on the other side of the galaxy. Bob provided them with a solution. He has devised a stargate, of sorts, for them to use. All Nathaniel and Persephone have to do is pilot their ship to the Antares star system, and fly through the black hole. It sounds easy enough, but nothing escapes a black hole, and Persephone's explanation about what is going to happen to them doesn't help; neither does the AI's carelessness. When they get to Rekar'ree, it is evident that Bob made a mistake. There is no way that the planet can sustain life. All Nathaniel has to do is make a quick orbit, and run a few sensor scans to prove that no one is there. High above the surface of the second planet are dirigibles, the size of cities, floating in the atmosphere. Their job just got a little bit more complicated. When they meet Tempek'kee, it will get a lot worse. He and his acolytes are evil and must be dealt with permanently. Dealing with the s.o.b. and his goons isn't the end. It is the beginning. Tempek'kee's employer, Hyperion Corporation also has to be dealt with too. Persephone's half-sister, Aphrodite, let Nathaniel know that she is interested in him, and she did it right in front of Persephone. Nathaniel wants her too. What man wouldn't want to lay with the Goddess of Love? Can he resist her charms? Does he have to? Is there a way to have her and stay faithful to Persephone? This story has plenty of science fiction in it as well as gods and goddesses. They are not omnipotent nor are they invincible, and they have their problems too. This book has plenty of action, horrific acts, and humor. It is written in a way that it can be read as part of the Space Rogue series or independent of it. I hope you enjoy it.

When I was 9 years old I had a vision. This was a vision in my imagination of a whole world society. It was a planet. I fantasized about my life there almost every night. I used to think this was another planet when I was a child. It felt so far removed from the current world in which my 9 year old self was living and experiencing in the 1990s. Recently, I am realizing this imaginary world I visited at 9 years old could very well be similar to Earth in our future. For the first time I share my vision of Planet Zuelios with you in hopes that it will inspire you to make positive change upon our planet so we can all live better lives here, together. May this book open your mind and heart to the empowerment of imagination and creation.

"Citadel to City-State serves as an excellent summarization of our present knowledge of the not-so-dark Dark Age as well as an admirable prologue to the understanding of the subsequent Archaeic and Classical periods." -- David Rupp, Phoenix The Dark Age of Greece is one of the least understood periods of Greek history. A terra incognita between the Mycenaean civilization of Late Bronze Age Greece and the flowering of Classical Greece, the Dark Age was, until the last few decades, largely neglected. Now new archaeological methods and the discovery of new evidence have made it possible to develop a more comprehensive view of the entire period. Citadel to City-State explores each century from 1200 to 700 B.C.E. through an individual site -- Mycenae, Nichoria, Athens, Lefkandi, Corinth, and Ascra -- that illustrates the major features of each period. This is a remarkable account of the historical detective work that is beginning to shed light on Dark Age Greece.

The Dark Before Dawn

From Civil Wrongs to Civil Light

Author: Gerald Eubanks

Category: Social Science

As an African American child growing up in St. Augustine, Florida, author Gerald Eubanks had a hard time seeing the victories won during the Civil War in action. Blacks were excluded from opportunities afforded to his white neighbors. Schools were aggressively segregated. Racial tensions simmered. The towns sheriff deputized members of the notorious Ku Klux Klan to ensure continued white supremacy. It was through the persistence of quiet, unsung heroes that progress began to appear. Here, he celebrates the little-known champions of the movementthose who demonstrated tirelessly, picketed fearlessly, encouraged, consoled, stood tall, and never wavered in their determination to do the right thing despite overwhelming opposition. The Dark before Dawn is Geralds very personal story of the struggles of life in St. Augustine, Florida, during the civil rights movements of the late 1950s and beyond. It is a tribute to the hundreds of ordinary people who risked everything so that the lives of generations of others might be better. Those familiar with the events of the era credit the Eubanks family with making the significant contributions to the advance of human and civil rights, but their story has gone unheraldeduntil now. Gerald Eubanks lived through those turbulent times, and now he reminds readers that the fight for civil rights goes on today. He warns that without vigilance, we may find ourselves in the dark before the dawn once again.
